Core Comfort is our proprietary panel building system. It’s a standardized building envelope: meaning the way we build the walls, roof, and floors is consistent and engineered to exceed the highest standards (like BC Step Code 5).
But here’s the kicker: a standardized system doesn't mean a standardized shape.
Think of our panel system like a set of high-end, architectural building blocks. Because we’ve perfected the "science" of the wall: the insulation, the airtightness, and the moisture management: we can adapt the "shape" of the home to almost anything you can imagine. The internal service cavity: protecting the home's lungs
One of the smartest details inside Core Comfort is the internal service cavity. We run electrical and plumbing inside a dedicated 1.5" to 5.5" chase on the interior side of the wall, inside the air barrier layer.
That matters because our interior air control membrane, Intello X, acts like the lungs of the home. By keeping wiring, boxes, and plumbing runs in their own cavity, we don’t have to keep poking holes through that airtight layer just to make the house function. It’s a cleaner, smarter way to build, and it’s one of those behind-the-scenes decisions that helps a custom home actually perform the way it was designed to.
Two-way air control: comfort by design
We also use a weather and air barrier membrane called Mento 1000 as part of our wall assembly. Paired with our interior control layers, it helps manage air and moisture in both directions: allowing moisture to escape when it needs to, while keeping heat where you want it.
That kind of two-way control is a big part of why these homes feel stable, comfortable, and durable over time. It also takes an unusual level of precision to pull off well. In a factory setting, we can install and protect these layers with consistency that’s nearly impossible to achieve on a traditional job site exposed to mud, wind, weather, and constant trade overlap.
